I learned how to use templates in GIMP this weekend. I found a couple of free templates that I liked and went right to work.
My daughter helped me pick out the papers for this first page. The papers and elements are from the February Blog Train, “My Heart’s Dream”. I found this template at mommyandwife2011.
With the next template, I actually made a couple of pages. The one below, I added 3 pictures. In another page I made, I used one picture that was broken into the 5 pieces. Both turned out nice, but I like this one the best. The kit I used is “Jump for Joy” by Designs by Anita. The template is by MimiConcept.
I actually had a couple of hours almost undisturbed yesterday evening, so I decided to finish a page Id been working on for a week or so. I ended up starting over, using a different kit and changing the layout completely. I love how this page turned out!
I used the kit “Splendor” by Mye De Leon Digital Designs.
I made this page a few weeks ago but couldn’t find the right words to describe it. I finally had the chance to search through some word art at Random Thoughts At Linda’s Place. Here is my page using elements from the Grandma’s Quilt Blog Train and word art by Linda.
Yes, I’m missing a week. I’ll come back to week 4. But for now, here is week 5. It is a very simple layout that I made using a kit by a-liya designs.
I also downloaded a QP she made using her latest collection called “To be yours”. She made it in collaboration with PrelestnayaP. Here is the page I made using her QP.
Here is week 3. The kit I used is called Everyday Joys. It was a birthday gift from DSP.
