Autumn Page and Craft Fairs

We visited my uncle last weekend for our second annual leaf pile photo shoot.  Leah had fun jumping in the leaves and playing with the rake.  James enjoyed standing near the pile and holding the rake.  He did not like being in the pile though.  Oh well.  Maybe next year!

With Christmas right around the corner, it is now Craft Fair season.  I’m thinking of participating in a few next year, so I will be checking some out this year.  I want to get an idea of how to display my products and also what other types of products will be there.  Plus, I may even get some shopping done. 🙂

Personalized Signs for Home Entrance

I got started making prints with quotes when I decided to make a print for our front entrance.  We used to have a white board and calendar at the entrance for the daycare.  When I closed the daycare, there was no longer a need for the board.  Now we have a blank wall to look at every time we walk in the house.  I worked on this page for a few weeks, picking out the right quote, the right papers, and then finally choosing the right elements and layout.  I got cross-stitching stuck in my head and decided to make our family into “cross-stitched” people.  I’m finally done and will be ordering the print sometime this week.  I’m anxious to see how it looks on paper.

100th Post!

It was Thanksgiving this past weekend and we spent it with family.  James followed his Grandma around and loved “helping out” in the kitchen.  Leah was great at entertaining her cousin, Simon.  On Monday, before we left, we got to spend time with my brother too.  Despite a couple of little hiccups, it was a great weekend!  I hope that when our kids are grown, we will still get together on holidays and any other special occasion that comes up.

Here is a page I made using a sweet picture of Leah and James.  I love how much they love each other. 🙂

October DST Blog Train

I look forward to this blog train every two months.  There are so many talented designers and you end up with an impressive collection of kits that work well together.  This month, DST chose a great colour scheme.  I will be using these mini kits to put together my son’s baby book.  I’ve already made the cover page for it and will share it with you next week.  For now, here is another page I made, just to give you an idea of the colours for this month.
