Pinterest, Part 2

First of all, my “cross-stitched” page for our front entrance arrived this week and it was perfect!  I love how it turned out and now officially have a favourite printing company for my digital scrapbooking work.  I strongly recommend you check out Persnickety Prints for all your printing needs!  They also offer free scrapbooking kits on occasion.

Here is the original post about my personalized sign.  And here is a picture of the printed and framed version.  I was so excited to hang it up in our front hall.

Second, I have completed my second pinterest-inspired scrapbook page.  I saw this monogrammed print and thought it was cute.  I decided to use Christmas papers for mine, since it is nearly time to start decorating for the holidays.  Here is the final version.  I’ll be getting it printed this week and I already have the perfect spot to hang it.

My Little Puppy

This is my first attempt at cutting out an image from a paper.  I’ve seen a lot of pages lately that have embellishments or text that has been cut-out of the paper and it looks really neat.  The “Boy”s in the title are cut out of the green paper.  I’m positive there is an easier way to do this using GIMP than the way I did it.  Once I figure it out, I will share the steps here for anyone else who uses GIMP (and as a reminder for myself).
