I’ve been away from my computer for a few days (for Thanksgiving weekend), so I needed something to get my mojo going again. I decided to use a couple of templates to create some layouts I’ve been meaning to do.
The first template is “Cut It” from Studio Basic Designs. I used papers from the kit “Inspire Me” by Jen C Designs.
The second template I used was “Single 18” from Sweet Shoppe Designs. The kit is “Loving You”, also by Jen C Designs (I’m a big fan of hers!). The beautiful baby is my daughter when she was nearly 3 months old. Seems like a lifetime ago!
If you love what you see and wish you could do the same with your pictures, contact me (visit Jennifer Martin Designs for more details). I would be happy to digitally scrap your photos!
I hope everyone is enjoying the lovely fall weather. It is gorgeous out there!
Despite my almost constant scrapping over the last two years, I have never posted one of my layouts in a designers gallery. Somehow, it just felt too intimidating to show my work. I love browsing through the galleries and seeing all the gorgeous pages other digital scrappers create. It is really inspiring (and intimidating). But I decided it was finally time to start introducing myself to the other artists out there and finally shared one of my prints. I made it this weekend using the kit “Apple Crisp” by Peppermint Creative. It is called “A Is for Adorable”.
We went to a wedding at the beginning of the Summer. It was an exciting time for the kids. My daughter had only been to one wedding before and she was 18 months at the time, and my son had never been to one. L loved shopping for fancy new clothes and doing her hair. J loved the balloons. It was fun and nice to be able to celebrate with the couple. Here is a page I made from that weekend. It was a sunny day, so tricky to get a nice, non-squinty picture. 🙂

It is 5 days before Christmas and I am far from being ready. Still most of the wrapping and hopefully some baking before we pack everything up and head to Toronto for the weekend. On top of getting ready for the holidays, I’ve been working hard getting things set up for my S4H business. I had been hoping to get started in January, but I think I may have to wait until February. There are still a few things to get sorted. But that’s alright.
I made a photo book for a dear friend this month, the first thing I’ve made for someone else, and she loved it. It was so much fun making it and then to see the finished product and see how happy she was with the end result was great. 🙂 So I am looking forward to making prints and books for my business!
One of the fun things about Christmas time in Digital Scrapbook world is all the wonderful holiday-themed kits that are offered as freebies. My favourite one this year is “Noel d’antan” by Lilas Design. Here is a page I made using her kit. The paper is by Sekada Designs, from the New Year collab. kit at Digital-Crea.
This is the first year I have done a Halloween page. It was tricky finding the right kit because a) I wanted it to be free! and b) I wanted a cute kit that had sweet, smiling elements, since my little ones were wearing cute innocent costumes. I found the perfect kit at Eyeinspire called Halloweenies. Here is the page I made of my two Trick or Treaters.
It was a great weekend and Halloween night, and now we have enough candy to tide us over until Christmas!
We visited my uncle last weekend for our second annual leaf pile photo shoot. Leah had fun jumping in the leaves and playing with the rake. James enjoyed standing near the pile and holding the rake. He did not like being in the pile though. Oh well. Maybe next year!

With Christmas right around the corner, it is now Craft Fair season. I’m thinking of participating in a few next year, so I will be checking some out this year. I want to get an idea of how to display my products and also what other types of products will be there. Plus, I may even get some shopping done. 🙂
It was Thanksgiving this past weekend and we spent it with family. James followed his Grandma around and loved “helping out” in the kitchen. Leah was great at entertaining her cousin, Simon. On Monday, before we left, we got to spend time with my brother too. Despite a couple of little hiccups, it was a great weekend! I hope that when our kids are grown, we will still get together on holidays and any other special occasion that comes up.
Here is a page I made using a sweet picture of Leah and James. I love how much they love each other. 🙂
