There is no denying that Fall is here. The weather is cooler, the trees are beautiful and two big holidays are coming up – Thanksgiving and Halloween. In fact, I was just reminded today that Thanksgiving is just a week away. Crazy!
So, in honour of the Fall holidays, I’ve released a few new prints in my Etsy Shop. Come check them out!
It’s been a pretty busy week this week. My husband was out of town on business, so the kids and I had to fend for ourselves. But with L back at school, the days were pretty laid back and easy, just J and I. We managed to get a bunch of errands done in the mornings and then he slept all afternoon. This gave me plenty of time to work, which was wonderful! I really look forward to my quiet afternoons scrapping on my computer. I’m finalizing a few new prints to add to my Etsy shop next week, which I will share with you here when they are up.
For now, here is one of the prints I made this week. It is a picture of J and I from April.

We went to a wedding at the beginning of the Summer. It was an exciting time for the kids. My daughter had only been to one wedding before and she was 18 months at the time, and my son had never been to one. L loved shopping for fancy new clothes and doing her hair. J loved the balloons. It was fun and nice to be able to celebrate with the couple. Here is a page I made from that weekend. It was a sunny day, so tricky to get a nice, non-squinty picture. 🙂

Two weeks left of Summer vacation. My daughter returns to school on the 28th. It seems the last 2 months have gone by so fast. It’s been so wonderful having her home and watching the two kids play and interact together. It will be strange when she goes back to school and it’s just my son and I again.
Of course, while I have enjoyed this special time with her, I am looking forward to having more time to focus on my work again. I hope everyone enjoys the rest of these lazy days and I’ll see you in September!

I have been busy getting everything ready to launch my new product – custom-made Baby’s First Year Memory Books. They will be available in early 2013 through my website. My current task is creating sample pages using the adorable baby kits I have purchased to give potential customers an idea of what I can do for them.
Here is a page I made of my children using one of the kits, “Trunk-full of Love (boy)” by AliSarah digiscraps.
From September 1st to December 31st, everyone who purchases a print either in my Etsy Shop or at Jennifer Martin Designs will be entered into a draw to receive a $50 gift certificate to be used towards the purchase of a Baby’s First Year Memory Book. The gift certificate will be transferable, so the winner can choose to use it for themselves or give it to someone else as a gift. Gift certificates for any of my products will be available in time for the holidays. Contact me for more information!
Good luck to all and have a good week!
It has been a month since my daughter finished her first year of school. I wasn’t sure what to expect this summer, but for the most part, it has been really nice having her home. My son loves having a playmate around all the time and we have done some really fun activities almost every day. So far, their favourite thing to do is go to the beach. We’re so fortunate to have access to beaches and I plan on making a few more trips before the end of the season.
With the extra family time in the summer months, I’ve had less time for scrapping. But I have managed to get my Etsy shop set up and start selling some prints through there and through my own business website. So while it has been slow, it has been moving along.
I will update soon with a few of the prints available in my shop. For now, here is a print I made just today using the kit “Always In Our Hearts” by Scraps N Pieces
It’s been quite some time. I’m slowly getting my new business set up. At the moment, I am offering custom-made prints through my website (requests welcome and appreciated). I also have an Etsy Shop, mainly for nursery art, but I plan on continuing to add mostly ready-made prints there as well. If all goes well, come September (fingers crossed), I will begin selling Baby’s 1st Year memory books, as well as memory books for older children.
My business website is Jennifer Martin Designs and you can also visit my Etsy Shop here.
I haven’t done a whole lot of “fun” scrapping lately. But this weekend was iNSD and I downloaded most of the parts from the DigiscrapAddicts blog train. Here is a print I made using one of the templates from the blog train. All the papers, elements, and alpha were also from the train. I tried to use one paper or element from each of the kits I downloaded, so the credits would be really long, but for a list of all the designers, click here.
