IDSD and Pigtails

This past weekend (November 3rd and 4th) was International Digital Scrapbooking Day.  It’s an exciting time for all digital scrapbookers and designers alike.  This is the third time I’ve participated in the IDSD weekend and, I believe, it was my most successful.  I snagged some gorgeous free kits and have been busy playing with them.

Here is one of the pages I have made.  The kit is “Clementine” by Tickled Pink Studio

Happy Halloween

My daughter loves Halloween.  She decided during the summer that she wanted to be Princess Jasmine.  It turns out, that’s a hard costume to find, so I had to order it online.  Sadly, it is too cold for her to really show off the costume.  She has to wear a shirt underneath and a jacket over top to keep warm.  But she still loves it.  My son has an aversion to costumes.  At our event this weekend, it took a lot of coaxing to get him into his costume and he wanted it off as soon as he was done getting his candy.  I’m not sure if he will let us put it on again tomorrow night for the actual Trick or Treating.  Fingers crossed it isn’t another cry-fest.

I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween!

Using Templates To Find My Mojo

I’ve been away from my computer for a few days (for Thanksgiving weekend), so I needed something to get my mojo going again.  I decided to use a couple of templates to create some layouts I’ve been meaning to do.

The first template is “Cut It” from Studio Basic Designs.  I used papers from the kit “Inspire Me” by Jen C Designs.

The second template I used was “Single 18” from Sweet Shoppe Designs.  The kit is “Loving You”, also by Jen C Designs (I’m a big fan of hers!).  The beautiful baby is my daughter when she was nearly 3 months old.  Seems like a lifetime ago!

If you love what you see and wish you could do the same with your pictures, contact me (visit Jennifer Martin Designs for more details). I would be happy to digitally scrap your photos!

I hope everyone is enjoying the lovely fall weather.  It is gorgeous out there!

Apple Crisp-Type Weather

Despite my almost constant scrapping over the last two years, I have never posted one of my layouts in a designers gallery.  Somehow, it just felt too intimidating to show my work.  I love browsing through the galleries and seeing all the gorgeous pages other digital scrappers create.  It is really inspiring (and intimidating).  But I decided it was finally time to start introducing myself to the other artists out there and finally shared one of my prints.  I made it this weekend using the kit “Apple Crisp” by Peppermint Creative.  It is called “A Is for Adorable”.
